How to Adjust the Rollers of Rotary Drum Dryer?

Rotary drum dryer is commonly used to dry materials. Because of this reliable function, flexible operation, strong adaptability and high processing capacity, rotary drum dryer is widely used in chemical industry, light industry, metallurgy and building materials industry and other sectors. Rotary drum dryer is mainly composed of cylinder, supporting devices, driving devices, sealing devices and other components.

The key to ensuring the safe operation of rotary drum dryer in a long term is adjusting its rollers according to their working principles and structural characteristics. Keep a linear axis of rotary drum dryer so that the cylinder can move back and forth smoothly through the axis. Remain the gear wheel stationary so that each gear wheel and roller can bear the load evenly.

The central line of rollers should be adjusted according to the rotating direction of the cylinder. Tilt rollers towards a certain direction to form a tiny angle (generally no more than 0.5 °to avoid deformity of the roller) with the central line. Then they will produce the spiral upward thrust, which is approximately balanced with the running force of the cylinder. Keep the operating of rollers in relatively stable positions, which makes the cylinder move back and forth freely between gear wheels.

During the adjustment process, if the cylinder moves to an upper position, it is better to pour some oil on the surface of roller to increase its friction. On the contrary, if it moves to a lower position, viscous grease can be poured to reduce friction. The four rollers must be adjusted together, and ensure that the contact surface between rollers and tires is no less than 50 percent.
