Spiral classifier is one kind of ore dressing equipment widely used in ore dressing plant, which is also the equipment relying on different deposition rate of solid particles with different proportion in liquid to carry out mechanical classification.
Spiral classifier is usually used to classify materials ground by ball mills. It can be divided into high weir single spiral and double-spiral classifier, submerged single spiral classifier and double-spiral classifier.
Spiral classifier is generally used in closed cycle shunt to shunt mineral sands or in gravity ore dressing plant to separate mineral sand and fine sand. Additionally, it can also be used to classify granularity of ore pulp in metal ore dressing process or deslime and dewater in ore washing works.
