Molybdenum Ore Beneficiation Plant and Technological Process

Molybdenum is a kind of metal element and has advantages of high strength, high melting point, corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance and etc., therefore, it has a wide application in the industry. Molybdenum ore dressing technology in our country has a history of half a century, now the gap between our molybdenum ore beneficiation technology and the advanced countries is becoming smaller and smaller.

Molybdenum Ore Beneficiation Plant

In China molybdenum ore beneficiation mainly adopts the flotation process. Molybdenum ore dressing processes includes molybdenum ore beneficiation, copper-molybdenum beneficiation, tungsten-molybdenum beneficiation and molybdenum-bismuth beneficiation, to produce molybdenum concentrate, etc.

The commonly used methods are sodium sulphide process and sodium cyanide process to separate copper from molybdenum and refine the molybdenum concentrate. The concentration times of molybdenum mainly depends on its total concentration ratio. Generally, if the total concentration ratio is high, the concentration times will be more; Otherwise, the concentration times will be less. In recent years, in order to meet the needs of molybdenum concentrate exports, molybdenum concentrators usually use the hydrochloric acid-ferric trichloride lixiviation process to remove the impurities in the molybdenum concentrate.

1. Molybdenum ores is first to be roughly crushed by jaw crusher, then crushed by fine jaw crusher to a reasonable fineness, and then through elevator sent to the stock bin.

2. Evenly fed into ball mill for grinding by feeder machine.

3. The ground ore fines enter into the spiral classifier and make use of the principle that different specific gravity corresponds to different sedimentation rate to clean and classify the mineral mixture.

4. Then through the mixing barrel sent to the flotation machine for flotation and added in corresponding flotation reagents according to different mineral properties. The bubbles in flotation machine collide with ore grains and statically separate from the bubble coalitions, so as to make the required minerals and other materials separated.

5. After flotation, dehydrate the water contained in the mineral concentrations with the high efficiency concentrator.
