In recent years, accompanied by the fast growth of our national economy, China develops quickly in non-ferrous metallurgy industry and has become the truly big producer of nonferrous metals. The production scale and output of our nonferrous industry continue to grow. In the meantime, our nonferrous metal metallurgy technique and equipment level are also experiencing a great progress.

Rotary kiln holds an important position in nonferrous metal production. This equipment is mainly used in the heat treatment of ores, concentrate and intermediate products, such as sintering and roasting. The size of kiln has become one of the main symbols of enterprise production capacity. With the vigorous development of non-ferrous metallurgy industry in China, the demand of rotary kiln is growing higher and higher and the specification becomes larger and larger.

Rotary kiln also can be used to calcine clay, limestone and mineral residues. In the production of refractory materials, adopting rotary kiln to calcine the raw material can stabilize its dimension and increase its intensity before processing and molding.

In the non-ferrous and ferrous metallurgy, rotary kiln acts as the smelting equipment of iron, aluminum, copper, zinc, tin, nickel, tungsten, chromium and other metals to sinter and roast the ores, concentrate, intermediate products and so on.

In the concentration process, rotary kiln can be used in the magnetizing roasting of low-grade iron ore, to turn its weak magnetism into strong magnetism, in order to facilitate the magnetic separation.

In the chemical industry, rotary kiln is used to produce soda and calcine phosphate and barium sulfide, etc. It has received vigorous promotion because of its low energy consumption and high efficiency.

In environmental protection, making use of rotary kiln to burn hazardous waste and rubbish can realize the harmless emissions of waste.
